This cute bunting is perfect for draping around your Xmas tree or hanging across the mantelpiece. I’ve used the traditional red, white and green colour scheme, but this bunting would work well in just about any colours!
About the Quick & Easy Crochet Xmas Bunting Design
As a market seller in the past, I know how difficult it can be to find patterns that make up quickly enough to make it worth your while and so that you can set a realistic price. This was first and foremost in my mind whilst designing the bunting. Each flag has only 3 rounds of granny stitch and a single crochet edging. The string is simply made up from chain and is super-quick to add at the end!

Pattern notes
The granny triangles may curl and bunch up after crocheting but this is easily rectified by steam ironing or blocking the triangles before joining them together. Rather than making a chain 3 at the beginning of each row, I have used a stacked single crochet stitch which mimics a dc more effectively than ch3. If you’d like to see how to make the stsc stitch, just follow the video tutorial.
Foundation Circle – Chain 4 and join with slip-stitch to first chain to form a loop.
Row 1) Ch1, (3hdc Ch1) 3 times into ring, slst to first hdc.
Row 2) Stsc or ch3, (3hdc ch1 3hdc) into each ch1sp from the previous row, slt to stsc / top of 3ch.
Row 3) Stsc or Ch3 into the space between 3hdc clusters on the side of triangle. 2hdc in same space, (3hdc, ch1, 3hdc into next ch1sp on point of triangle, 3hdc in next space between 3hdc clusters on side of triangle) twice, 3hdc, ch1, 3hdc into next ch1sp on point of triangle, slst to stsc.

Edging & String
Row 1) Join yarn into top left ch1sp on top edge of triangle, make 2sc into ch1sp, sc in each dc until you reach the next ch1sp, 2sc ch1 2sc into ch1sp, sc in each dc along the other side, until you reach the next ch1sp, 2sc into ch1sp, fasten off.
String – Ch 30, slst into last sc on top right corner of triangle, ch1, 2sc into same ch1sp, sc in each dc across the top of the triangle, 2sc, ch1 in next ch1sp, slst to first sc. Ch 30. Repeat until all 5 flags are joined and you have a ch30 at the other end.
